'Da Best ang Pasko ng Pilipino' music video released!

ABS-CBN has just released their highly-anticipated Christmas Station ID for 2011 with the theme song “Da Best ang Pasko ng Pilipino” interpreted by 11-year old Filipino-Canadian You Tube sensation Maria Aragon together with the University of the Philippines (U.P.) Concert Chorus.

The Kapamilya network's 2011 Christmas Station ID depicts the best Christmas celebration in the world as more than a hundred Kapamilya stars from ABS-CBN Entertainment, News and Current Affairs, Regional Network Group TV personalities, ANC and DZMM anchors; and Tambayan 101.9 DJs as well as Kapamilyas from The Filipino Community worldwide spread the yuletide cheers Pinoy style.

From Cebu’s lechon, bibingka’t puto bumbong, misa de gallo and the parol, the ABS-CBN Christmas SID carries the best Pinoy Christmas traditions and goes beyond celebrations in Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao as it travels and gets a glimpse of how Filipinos celebrate Christmas in the United States, London in Europe, in the Middle East or even in neighboring Tokyo Japan.

The theme song “Da Best Ang Pasko ng Pilipino” was written by Creative Communications Management head Robert Labayen, while the music composed and produced by Jimmy Antiporda for Star Records.

Filipinos definitely have the best Christmas celebration in the world and Kapamilya personalities spread the yuletide cheers Pinoy style via the network’s Christmas Station ID to be launched tonight after TV Patrol.

From Cebu’s lechon, bibingka’t puto bumbong, misa de gallo and the parol, the Station ID (SID) carries the best Pinoy Christmas traditions and goes beyond celebrations in Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao as it travels and gets a glimpse of how Filipinos celebrate Christmas in the US, London in Europe, in the Middle East or even in neighboring Tokyo, Japan.

Piolo Pascual comforts a kababayan at the Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo, Japan. John Lloyd Cruz, Coco Martin, Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes surprise a Pinoy family in Los Angeles, California. Jed Madela, Angeline Quinto and Marcelito Pomoy serenade the Filipino community in L.A.

The theme song Da Best Ang Pasko ng Pilipino was written by creative communications management head Robert Labayen, while the music was composed and produced by Jimmy Antiporda for Star Records. The SID launch, which will also premiere simultaneously with ABS-CBN on Studio 23, Hero TV, Lifestyle Network, Velvet, Cinema One, DZMM TeleRadyo, ANC, Myx, Balls, and even abroad via The Filipino Channel, kicks off ABS-CBN Christmas campaign for 2011, which also includes parol-selling, Kapamilya Simbang Gabi, text promo and interactive online games.

Also, Kapamilya can hear Mass on television with the Kapamilya Simbang Gabi airing at 3 a.m. from Dec. 16 to Dec. 24.

This year’s Christmas celebration will be simultaneously launched internally by ABS-CBN executives and employees via the ceremonial unveiling of a 12-feet tall Christmas photo mosaic inside the ABS-CBCN compound.
