‘Ang Kwento Ni Mabuti’ Movie Poster and Trailer revealed!

“Ang Kwento ni Mabuti,” is an entry by Mes de Guzman in the 1st CineFilipino Film Festival this September. The film stars the one and only Superstar, Ms. Nora Aunor.



Directed by Mes De Guzman, “Ang Kwento ni Mabuti” is a morality tale about Mabuti, a healer who looks at life positively despite her poverty. Everything changes, however, when she accidentally finds a bag containing a huge stash of money. The five million pesos could bring an end to her family’s problems. But is the solution that simple or is it loaded with complications?

Filmed entirely in Nueva Vizcaya, the film marks the first time that Nora speaks Ilocano in the entire movie. Other cast-members are Arnold Reyes, Sue Prado, Mara Lopez, and Ama Quiambao.
“Ang Kwento Ni Mabuti” will have its gala week on September 18-24, 2013 at the Newport Cinemas of Resorts World Manila, Lucky Chinatown Mall and Gateway Cineplex.

‘The Muses’ Movie Trailer revealed!

The Muses” is an entry to the 1st CineFilipino Film Festival. It’s a story of sibling rivalry in the music business where two sisters find the hidden truths about fame, family and their own selves.


Janice Perez’s directorial debut “Sabongero” (2009) was screened at the short film corner at the 2009 Festival de Cannes. Now her new movie “The Muses” is one of the 8 finalists in the upcoming 1st CineFilipino Film Festival. The film’s original story came from Perez and acoustic singer Kitchie Nadal with screenplay by Perez, Nadal and Janelle Jamer.
Synopsis:
The much-awaited search for the Philippine representative to the Fairground Music Festival in NYC unfolds at the Artists Hall at Benedicto College in Cebu. The live event showcases a battle of the bands and acts to determine the best of the best in the Philippine music scene. Marthe San Lucas, main vocalist of The Muses, one of the bigger contenders for the top spot, desires to win the audition contest at all costs. She arrives in Cebu two days ahead with her younger sister and the band’s main songwriter and guitarist, Marie, along with their fireball of a manager, Bunny, to do some promotional touring ahead of the big event. The fateful trip to Cebu leads both sisters to discover hidden truths about dreams, fame, family, and the real beauty and meaning behind their music.

"Puti" Movie Poster and Trailer revealed!

Puti” by Miguel ‘Mike’ Alcazaren, an entry to the 1st CineFilipino Film Festival starring Jasmine Curtis-Smith.


Mike Alcazaren is a freelance television commercial director. He has won several Ad Congress awards and a First Prize in the 2007 Carlos Palanca Awards for Literature. His film Puti follows the story of a counterfeit painter who figures in a freak car accident that rendered him color blind. While recuperating, he starts seeing strange images.

Starring in the film are Ian Veneracion, Bryan Pagala, Lauren Young, Leo Rialp and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.

“Puti” will have its gala week on September 18-24, 2013 at the Newport Cinemas of Resorts World Manila, Lucky Chinatown Mall and Gateway Cineplex.

‘Ang Turkey Man Ay Pabo Rin’ Movie Poster and Teaser Trailer revealed!

"Ang Turkey Man ay Pabo Rin” is an entry by Randolph Longjas to the 1st CineFilipino Film Festival this September.


 
Ang Turkey Man ay Pabo Rin” is written by Allan Habon and directed by Randolph Longjas. The film stars Julia Clarete, Cai Cortez, JM de Guzman, Travis Kraft, Ronald Inocencio, Madlen Nicolas, Micko Laurente and Tuesday Vargas.

This fun and wildly inventive comedy explores the trials, tribulations and triumphs of Filipino-American couple on a universal love trip–one that does not discriminate against color, stature or culture. It is a celebration of the Filipino experience from a foreigner’s perspective, and simultaneously, the realization of the American dream through a Filipino’s eyes.

KimXi's 'Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?' movie synopsis revealed!

College professor and self-proclaimed "Internet action star"  Ramon Bautista's  humor and "self-help" book  'Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?' is now a movie starring Xian Lim and Kim Chiu!


Synopsis:
Chiu is seen as Sandy, who, after going through a break-up, is left to ponder why she feels unwanted.
Matters turn worse for Sandy when she is laid off by her company, under the leadership of its new bachelor CEO, Alex Prieto (Lim).
Realizing his mistake when employees belatedly put in a good word for Sandy, Alex hires her back, and the two start forming an unlikely friendship.
In a love story about "the ugly duckling in all of us and how we turn into someone worth loving," Alex at one point even offers Sandy a make-over so she will no longer cry over a failed relationship.
Directed by Joyce Bernal, "Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?" also stars Bautista, Kean Cipriano and Tonton Gutierrez.
Produced by ABS-CBN's film production outfit Star Cinema, the movie will hit theaters nationwide on July 31.

Vilma Santos' "Ekstra" movie poster and trailer revealed!

EKSTRA is under the Directors Showcase in this year's Cinemalaya Film Fetival. Cinemalaya will be held on July 26 to August 4, 2013 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Greenbelt 3, and Trinoma.



Starring Vilma Santos in her first independent movie to date. 
Joining her in the casts are Marian Rivera, Cherie Gil, Pilar Pilapil, Uela Valdez, Tom Rodriguez and Piolo Pascual.
Directed by Jeffrey Jeturian.

SYNOPSIS:  Ekstra (The Bit Player) is a socio-realist drama-comedy film, which follows a seemingly usual day in the life of LOIDA MALABANAN (Vilma Santos) as she embarks on yet another shooting day of a soap opera as an extra. As the shoot goes on, we get a glimpse of the truth in the ruling system of the production as well as the exploitation on the marginalized laborers like her.

"Four Sisters and a Wedding" full trailer revealed!

As it celebrates 20 years of bringing life, love, and hope on the big screen, Star Cinema, the country’s largest film production company, presents for the first time a grand gathering of todays biggest stars on a powerhouse light family drama film titled “Four Sisters and A Wedding” that features five of the hottest and most talented stars of today–Bea Alonzo and Toni Gonzaga and Angel Locsin, Enchong Dee, Shaina Magdayao. The film will hit cinemas nationwide on June 26, 2013.



“Four Sisters and A Wedding” is directed by box-office director Cathy Garcia-Molina, who was also at the helm of some of the highest grossing Filipino movies of all time including the most successful romantic-comedy trilogy “A Very Special Love,” “You Changed My Life,” and the recently released “It Takes A Man and A Woman.”

Star Cinema’s initial movie offering for its 20th anniversary celebration shares the story of the Salazar siblings namely Teddie (Toni), the eldest, who works as a teacher in Spain; Bobbie (Bea), who is now successful in New York; Alex (Angel), the third child who is a Manila-based independent film assistant director; Gabbie (Shaina), a school teacher who lives at home together with their mother; and CJ(Enchong) the youngest child who put all his sisters in shock when he announced that he is going to marry his girlfriend for three months, Princess.



After a few years of not being together as a whole family, Teddie, Bobbie, Alex, and Gabbie come together for the wedding and have agreed to dissuade their baby brother from marrying his fiancée. But as they interact with each other for the wedding, the Salazar siblings also face the feelings and issues they’ve tried to keep for the longest time.

Are CJ’s four sisters not yet ready to let him go? Are they truly trying to fix their brother’s life? Or do they need to fix their own lives first?

Coney Reyes, Angeline Quinto and Sam Milby have a special participation in “Four Sisters and A Wedding.” Also part of the film are Carmi Martin, Buboy Garovillo, Bernard Palanca, and Janus delPrado.

Star Cinema has just revealed the official movie poster of "Four Sisters and a Wedding" !




This is the movie  stars the biggest stars of their generation with Toni Gonzaga, Bea Alonzo, Shaina Magdayao,  and Angel Locsin playing the four sisters. The young actor Enchong Dee joined the four beautiful ladies playing their only brother.

The movie is under the direction of the box-office director, Cathy Garcia-Molina.

‘Bromance: My Brother’s Romance’ movie poster and full trailer revealed!


Star Cinema and Skylight Films’ latest co-production, “Bromance: My Brother’s Romance” has just released its official movie poster and trailer starring Kapamilya hunk Zanjoe Marudo portraying dual roles.

The family oriented comedy movie revolves around the lives of twins Brando and Brandy. Because Brando has problems accepting his twin’s being gay, he decides to make a life of his own, put up an auto repair business and become a mechanic. Meanwhile, Brandy sets out on a path of his own and becomes a successful interior designer.

The twins continue on separate paths until one day, their mother begs them to set aside their differences and reconcile. So Brandy sets off to look for his brother but meets an unfortunate accident that renders him unconscious.

While Brandy is in a coma, Brando learns that just before the accident happened, his brother was in the final stages of negotiating a multi-million peso design deal with a client.
Afraid that they would lose everything with Brandy in a coma, Brando decides to pull a twin switch and pose as his gay brother. So the former straight, tough-talking and macho Brando turns into the gay Brandy!
While posing as his gay twin, Brando realizes that not only will this deal solve all of his financial problems, it also gives him a chance to set things right with Erika (Cristine Reyes), Brandy’s good friend that he used to have a crush on.

Now that the world has turned upside-down – with Brando assuming Brandy’s happy and gay personality – is there any hope that life will go back to normal for the twins? Will Brandy wake up in time, find out the switch his twin pulled and save everything?

Also in the cast of Bromance: My Brother’s Romance are Cristine Reyes, Arlene Muhlach, Joy Viado, Manuel Chua, Boom Labrusca, Joey Paras, Lassy, Nikki Valdez, Maricar De Mesa, Abbie Bautista, Carlo Romero and Jeff Luna.

Helmed by box-office director Wenn Deramas, “Bromance: My Brother’s Romance” is scheduled to open in theaters nationwide on May 15, 2013.

Gerald Anderson and Piolo Pacual's "OJT" teaser trailer revealed!


Reality teams up with Star Cinema to produce this crime drama which brings to the big screen a stellar cast led by Piolo Pascual, Gerald Anderson, Joel Torre, Joey Marquez, Shaina Magdayao and Angel Aquino.

In "On The Job" (OTJ), Gerald Anderson will be playing Daniel, an inmate who will turn into a hitman/professional killer. Meanwhile, Piolo Pascual plays the character of an NBI agent who will hunt Daniel. A son of an NBI chief and with a wife the daughter of a congressman, Piolo's character is torn between his duty, his conscience and his family.

Another adult love triangle movie from Viva Films is in the works which will star Derek Ramsay, Claudine Barretto and Cristine Reyes!

The still untitled movie is a come back vehicle for Claudine after she did not rake in ratings for the soap that she is in on GMA Network, this will also the first time she will be working for a project this year.

'Coming Soon' Pinoy Movie trailer released!


Viva Films has just released the trailer of the up-coming movie 'Coming Soon' starring Andi Eigenmann!

The movie follows the lives and misadventures of six friends who come from different backgrounds.

It  features cameo appearances of several local celebrities, including Vice Ganda, Solenn Heussaff, Tim Yap and Raymond Gutierrez, who are all seen portraying themselves.

As Monica, Eigenmann portrays the rebellious daughter of a socialite who finds unlikely friendships in Sikyu (Boy2 Quizon), Darwin (Dominic Roco), Sab (Glaiza de Castro), Nacho (Cholo Barretto) and Dana (Carla Humphries).

Despite their different status in life, the six find themselves bound by a common goal -- finding happiness.
Directed by Martin Rey Aviles, "Coming Soon" is scheduled to be released by Viva Films on April 17.

The film is produced by Fearless Productions, Inc. and Brownsugar Entertainment.

Regal Entertainment has just released the full trailer of “The Bride and the Lover” stars Lovi Poe, Jennylyn Mercado, and Paulo Avelino.



Another love triangle and the first this year. This is becoming a trend in mainstream movies after the success of No Other Woman.

With the first acting role of the controversial Hayden Kho in a movie. LJ Reyes reprises her role in "Tiktik 2"!


With the success of the horror-action-comedy film, Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles a sequel is not far behind as revealed by Dingdong Dantes!



Dantes revealed that the original cast Lovi Poe, Joey Marquez, Janice de Belen,  Roi Vinzon and LJ Reyes will reprise their role.

Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles, which was directed by Erik Matti for GMA Films, was released October 17 of last year and the sequel Tiktik 2 is already on the works.

This is what Dantes revealed in an interview:
"Basta this year talaga sya ipapalabas. Wala pang date kung when we are going to start but we’re eyeing to show it by end of the year siguro." 
Dingdong's film outfit, Agosto Dos Pictures, is among the producers of the sequel.

Nora Aunor's next movie project "Ang Kuwento ni Mabuti" starts grinding!


Nora Aunor who is fresh from receiving a best actress award for her portrayal in  "Thy Womb," at the 7th Asian Film Awards held in Hong Kong is already set to start shooting her next film.

59-year-old actress confirmed to reporters that she is scheduled to start filming the indie "Ang Kuwento ni Mabuti" starting Wednesday, March 20, 2013.
This is what the actress said:
"Pupunta ho kami sa Nueva Viscaya para mag-shoot ng panibagong pelikula, 'yung si 'Mabuti.'" 
In the film, reportedly helmed by "Diablo" director Mes de Guzman, Aunor portrays the title character -- a healer whose life takes a turn when she finds a bag that contains P5 million.
Aside from "Mabuti," two other films are reportedly lined up for Aunor -- the suspense-thriller "Dementia" and the biopic "The Editha Burgos Story."
The Superstar is going to be very busy this year, are you excited to see her up-coming movies?

"The Healing" movie trailer revealed!


The Healing” is an upcoming suspense-horror movie starring the “Star for All Seasons” Vilma Santos-Rectoand “Primetime Princess” Kim Chiu.
This is the much-awaited comeback movie for the Gov. of Batangas  which  also marks the 50th year of her in show business.

Helmed by Chito Roño, “The Healing” will be shown in 120+ theaters nationwide on July 25.

"TIKTIK: Tha Aswang Chronicles" movie trailer and poster revealed!


"TIKTIK:The Aswang Chronicles" is the first feature-length Filipino movie entirely shot on green screen. Only the houses and vehicles are real. All the backgrounds, including trees, mountains and creatures were laboriously and painstakingly realized using the latest computer technology.

"TIKTIK:The Aswang Chronicles" honors the genre's traditions without taking itself too seriously as itcombines honest-to-goodness scares with irreverent Pinoy wit and humor.

Directed by Erik Matti, it stars Dingdong Dantes, Joey Marquez, Janice de Belen, Lovi Poe, andRamon Bautista, as an odd mix of characters who suddenly find themselves the target of a vicious, deadly attack by a legion of pissed-off aswangs.

As if their own strained relationships weren't stressful enough, they now have to fight for their lives with all the heart, guts, and garlic they can muster.

Produced by Reality Entertainment, Agosto Dos, and GMA Films, "TIKTIK:The Aswang Chronicles" opens in theaters nationwide in October 2012.

Albie Casiño stars in "The Animals" movie trailer and poster!


Albie Casiño is not yet out of showbiz radar even though he was dropped by his mother studio as he srats in the up-coming movie The Animals  for Cinemalaya 2012!

Set in an affluent, upper middle class village in the suburbs, "The Animals" chronicles a day in the life of Jake, Trina, and Alex, who go through the musings that every kid in high school has to deal with.

Also included in the main cast are Patrick Sugui and Dawn Balagot. Also starring in tis movie are Issa Litton, Micah Cabral, Vangie Martelle, John Wayne Sace, Bryan Homecillo, Carlo Cruzand Andrew Felix. This is directed by Gino M. Santos.
