Mega umamin sa midlife crisis, 'I was very angry. And I lost all desire to look good'

Dumagundong sa ratings at sa mga manonood ang simula ng The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition nang umere ito noong Lunes (May 30). In fairness, pati sa Internet ay pinag-usapan ito nang husto at pumatok maging sa Twitter site.

Sa pilot episode ng pinakabagong reality show ng ABS-CBN, pumalo umano ito ng 20.5 percent para durugin ang mga katapat na palabas at pumasok sa Top 5 programs ayon sa national overnight TV ratings mula sa Kantar Media.

Sa naganap na timbangan kamakailan lang para makuha ang starting weight ng mga kalahok, maluha-luhang ibinahagi ng Megastar ang kaniyang dinanas na lungkot matapos magdiwang ng ika-40 kaarawan.

“I had a midlife crisis. I was very angry. ‘Cause I was everybody’s sweetheart all of a sudden I turned a year older, everybody changed. And I lost all desire to look good,” matapang niyang pag-amin.

Ngunit pagkatapos daw niyang makita ang determinasyon ng 14 na harapin ang katotohanan at maging seryoso sa pagpapapayat, nagbalik daw ang tiwala niya sa sarili na magsimula ng pagbabago.

“Thank you for making me feel this. Magsisikap akong pumayat at bumalik sa dati,” dagdag pa niya.

Malaking bagay naman sa 14 - sina Alan, Art, Eboy, Eric, JM, Larry, Raffy, Ryan, Angela, Destiny, Edden, Joy, Hazel, at Winwin - na nakaka-relate sa kanila si Sharon na makakasama nila linggu-linggo tuwing weigh-in at elimination.

Say nga ni Winwin, para silang nasa isang tahanan, kung saan may isang ate na nakaiintindi at kumakalinga sa kanila.

Bitiw naman ni Raffy, lalo raw tumaas ang respeto niya sa artista. Ma­liban sa kanila, ikinatuwa rin ng fans ng programa ang pakikitungo ni Sharon sa mga kalahok.

Sabi ni Wilbur Ryan Serrano sa official Twitter account ng programa, “I feel ‘yung sincerity ni #sharoncuneta sa mga @BLPinoyEdition ..if theres a will.. there’s a way...go go go!!”

Sa sikat na forum naman na Pinoyexchange, sabi ni izzzzzlaw, “gusto ko mag-host dito si ate shawie kase may sympathy siya sa mga contestants, at nagmo-motivate sa kanila.”

Samantala, matapos ang shocking twist kung saan naging 14 ang orihinal na 12 contestant ng programa, sinimulan na ang dibdibang training sa Biggest Loser Camp sa ilalim ng trainers na sina Jim Saret at Chinggay Andrada.


Gamit ang magkaibang style ng pagsasanay, walang inaaksayang oras ang dalawa para pukpukin at bigyang motibasyon ang bawat kalahok na paminsan-minsan ay nakadarama ng pagdududa sa kanilang kakayahan.
