Napakabait mo. Sobrang gentleman mo."

Angel Locsin, Sarah Geronimo, Maja Salvador, and Vhong Navarro look back on their 2009 career highlights!

Angel Locsin (International Emmy Best Actress nominee)
Pero sana medyo mag-out of the box naman ako minsan.

Gloria Diaz on her movie remakes "I can be imitated but not duplicated"!

Gloria Diaz reacts to people wanting to do remakes of her old movies.

Multi-awarded actress Gloria Diaz makes her TV comeback in afternoon soap Nagsimula Sa Puso starring Maja Salvador and will premiere today right after Wowowee. Nagsimula sa Puso is a television remake of the 1990 film of the same title with Hilda Coronel in the lead role. When asked regarding the latest trend in TV, doing remakes of classic movies, Gloria shared that she still prefers original materials. She even jokingly said that she does not want any of her movies to be remade because she can be “imitated but not duplicated”.

On a serious note though, since it is the trend today, she said that she has a long list of movies to choose from. “Lahat. I did ‘Ganito Kami Noon, Paano Kayo Ngayon,’ I did ‘Pinakamagandang Hayop sa Balat ng Lupa.’ I did a lot of good movies and a few handful of lousy movies but mainly good movies. I've done about 178 movies--145 playing lead and the rest not.” Gloria said that she has been hearing a lot of about the remake of Pinakamagandang Babae sa Balat ng Lupa and the starring role was even offered to her daughter, model Isabel Daza. “I suppose people will always remember Pinakamagandang Hayop. I heard they're trying to do a remake and many times they've asked my daughter and my daughter said 'What?'” Gloria said, laughing. “Palabra De Honor was nice, Danny Zialcita movies, my movies with Erap (Joseph Estrada) were also great. I did more movies I like than what I didn't like, maybe one or two.” If there's any showbiz actress whom she wants to portray her roles in these movies, she said that does not have anyone in mind yet. “I haven't really thought of it, she has to be new hindi 'yung kung sino-sino lang na walang pinagdaanan.”

On the other hand, Gloria has only good words for her co-star Maja Salvador. “She's not drop-dead gorgeous but she grows on you,” was how 1969 Miss Universe Gloria Diaz described Maja Salvador during the press conference of Nagsimula sa Puso. “She has a beautiful smile and I've seen her doing some acting and I think someday she'll be really good.” When she was asked if she thinks Maja can also be a beauty queen just like her, she said, “Definitely, I think she's an old-fashioned beauty 'di ba? In our times 'yung mga talagang old-fashioned face, classic, ganun ang beauty niya and she has a nice body and she's smart and sexy. She has a very expressive eyes and that's the most important, hindi ba? She does not even have to say a dialogue, her eyes speak for her.”

Anne Curtis reveals she and Sam Milby are dating again!

After working together on teleseryes Maging Sino Ka Man and Dyosa, Anne Curtis and Sam Milby announced last October 7 that they will be reuniting in a movie project slated for 2010. Even if they have already broken up, Anne clarified that it she was okay with doing a love scene with Sam should the movie require it. “If it has to do with anything daring, I think we tackled it already saMaging Sino Ka Man. Pagdating naman sa akin I’m always open to anything that is an acting piece. So okay sa akin,” she replied.

She also happily revealed that she and Sam have re-established their friendship, and that they have been going out together lately, with either just the two of them or with friends. Anne admitted that she realized how much she missed Sam after their breakup. “Now na mas madalas ko siyang nakakasama, it makes me realize again kung ano ‘yung mga bagay na na-miss ko sa kanya na nakalimutan ko na,” she confessed.

Anne also admitted that the year during which they had no communication helped her cope with their breakup. “You know that saying that absence makes the heart grow fonder? I don’t believe that’s true because absence also makes your heart wander and makes you forget things.

When asked about the possibility of a rekindled romance with Sam, Anne replied, “Siguro it’s safe to say we’re not closing our doors on it. We’re just taking our time. At least, it’s safe to say na lumalabas kami madalas ngayon. But we’re not rushing into anything. Ini-enjoy lang namin ‘yung time namin together.”

Even rumors of Sam supposedly courting Maja Salvador doesn’t bother her since both of them have already moved on. “Dumating kami sa point ni Sam na, ‘Oy, I’m happy for you…’ Mga ganyan,” said Anne. Hindi (na masakit). Genuine ang nararamdaman…well ako genuine. I was happy for him kung sino man ang na-date niya at that time. Naging happy naman ako for him.” As to whether or not the rumors are true, Anne replied, “I think you have to clarify it muna with Sam kung ano talaga ‘yung sa kanila. Wala talaga ako sa posisyon na magsalita hanggang sa magsalita sila about it.”

Maja Salvador shares ‘kilig’ moments with Kim Bum

Maja Salvador, who turned 21 last October 5, considered the chance to work with Kim Bum a great birthday treat. She added that she was flattered by the Korean actor's compliments when they shot a TV commercial together (TVC) for a soft drink endorsement.

Maja recalled that Kim Bum made her smile in spite of her exhaustion from an all-day shoot. Maja’s call time was 5 am while Kim Bum’s was 3 pm. When Kim Bum arrived in the afternoon, he asked Maja if she was already tired. “Sabi ko, ‘yes’ dahil 5 am pa nga [ako nagta-taping]. Tapos sabi niya (Kim Bum), ‘But you’re still maganda,’” beamed Maja. Kim Bum's translator also revealed during an October 3 press conference that the commercial's director was very vocal about Maja and Kim Bum’s chemistry extending off the set because they got along really well during their breaks.

Maja confessed that she found the Korean actor very handsome and charming. “Sobrang love ko kapag nagi-smile siya,” she said.

Although they are both single, Maja said that she is not expecting that her friendship with Kim Bum to turn into something romantic.

Maja Salvador shoots commercial with Boys Over Flowers' Kim Bum

"Sobrang nakakakilig yung istorya.

"Sinabi ko sa kanya na I'm a big big fan of their shows," sambit ni Maja.

So yun po."
