Greatest achievement in 2009:
I graduated from school and I’m in my Masteral studies and my Doctoral studies. These are achievements. Of course, the awards are always there. My political talk show, Bottom Line, that’s an achievement. I also built a house for my mother. But school primarily.

Goal for 2010:
I really count my blessings. Next year, I’d like to be able to teach kung pagbibigyan because I can teach. I’d like to be able to do an international talk show. I started from nothing and that is my greatest argument: if I got to be where I am now, what can stop me?

Kim Chiu admitted that her role in Star Cinema's Metro Manila Film Festival entry I Love You, Goodbye has been one of the biggest challenges in her career so far. Kim, who has always played good girl roles, took on a very different persona this time around. “Bagong role siya for me. 'Di ko alam kung tatanggapin siya ng tao the way na umarte ako dito. Dito masama siya [pero] 'di dahil masama siya. Masama siya dahil may rason at isa ito sa aabangan nila samovie kung bakit siya nagkaganun. Mahirap siya para sa akin dahil pala-tawa akong tao. The Buzz named Erich Gonzalez as 2009’s breakthrough star, who was catapulted to stardom through the teleserye, Katorse, which started August this year. It is also Erich’s launching project, four years after she was declared as the grand winner of Star Circle Quest Batch 2 in 2005. Erich however, said that she still remains the same person, amidst the success. “Ganun pa rin naman po, siguro mas nag-mature lang ako ng konti,” she said humbly, adding that she is aware now of the showbiz ropes compared to before. “Dati pangarap ko lang talaga ang makita ang sarili sa TV and ngayon sobra pa ang nangyayari.”

Kris Aquino opened up about her first Christmas without mom Cory Aquino who died last August 1. “’Yung feelingtalaga, ibang-iba pala ang Christmas‘pag walang central person taking care of the occasion.” The actress-host added that she and her four siblings—Ballsy, Noynoy, Pinky and Viel—were not excited about the holiday. “It’s a blessing also that we are so busy. ABS-CBN.com counts down the biggest news of 2009!

ABS-CBN.com conducted a poll on the biggest news that created the most buzz in 2009 and the Kapamilya online community voted the passing of former President Corazon Aquino as the biggest news of 2009 with 46% of votes. Mrs. Aquino died last August 1 after over a year of battling colon cancer. The woman hailed as Philippine’s mother of democracy left a nation in grief but revitalized the Filipino spirit. The government offered a state funeral for the former leader, but the Aquino family opted for a simpler wake and burial. But this did not prevent the millions of Filipinos from flocking to the Manila Cathedral for the public viewing. World leaders and international organizations also expressed their condolences to the Filipinos who seemed to have lost a mother. President Cory’s youngest child, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino expressed her deepest gratitude to everyone who showed their love for her mother. Kris’s brother, Senator Noynoy Aquino later announced his decision to run for the presidency in the 2010 national elections as his way of protecting and continuing his mother’s legacy of peace and progress.

Khos break silence on Hayden's 'suicide attempt'!

The family of embattled doctor Hayden Kho Jr. on Monday shot down all “sinister speculations,” including his alleged suicide attempt, that surfaced following his sudden hospitalization last week.
In an unsigned statement sent to abs-cbnNEWS.com, Khos vehemently denied the rumors on Hayden's alleged attempt to end his life.
“We had remained silent and avoided the media for many months now in the hope of regaining some semblance of normalcy in our lives. This time, however, we find it necessary to clarify the malicious rumors involving our son. Hayden did not attempt to commit suicide,” the statement read.

Sa ginanap na farewell presscon ng Lovers in Paris noong Biyernes (December 4), walang magawa si KC Concepcion kundi hayaan si Piolo Pascual na sagutin ang isyu tungkol sa tunay na estado ng kanilang relasyon. Beth Tamayo, husband hiding in Canada?

MANILA – Judy Ann Santos has expressed her support to one of her closest friends in show business, actress Beth Tamayo, who is now the subject of malicious gossips.
“I hope lahat, lahat ng ito mapag-usapan, maayos. Hayaan natin munang lumamig ang mga bagay, bagay,” Santos said.
She added: “I’m here to be her friend. I’m here to make her laugh hangga’t maaari.”
According to tabloid reports, Tamayo and her businessman husband, Johnny Wong, are allegedly hiding in Canada because they cannot settle their debts here. A tabloid report also claimed that a warrant for her arrest has already been issued, but this information has yet to be verified.

Magkaibang-magkaiba ang text message na ipinadala ni Atty. Lorna Kapunan sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at ang mga pahayag ng mag-amang Rudy at Andrew Olivar ng Lalaan 2nd, Silang, Cavite, tungkol sa dahilan ng confinement ni Hayden sa ospital.

Si Atty. Kapunan ang legal counsel ni Hayden.

Nakasaad sa text message na ipinadala ni Atty. Kapunan sa PEP noong Biyernes ng gabi, December 4, ang sumusunod na medical bulletin mula sa Manila Doctors Hospital:

"Dr. Hayden Kho, Jr. was admitted to this hospital very early this morning [December 4]. He was running a very high fever and was throwing up with severe abdominal pains

"Initial impression is that he is suffering from intestinal flu, although stress-induced gastric ulcer is also being considered.

"The Kho family is requesting for privacy. No visitors are allowed at this time.

"He was admitted under the care of his father, Dr. Hayden Kho."
