Derek Ramsay figures in another accident!

Universal Leading Man Derek Ramsey figured in another minor accident while playing his favorite sport – Frisbee.

Derek competed in a frisbee tournament in Korea recently, where his team placed second among the 29 groups that participated.



“Nag-Superman na naman ako. Lumipad-lipad na naman ako and then gravity won and I fell back to earth and busted up my shoulders. Pero this is nothing. My concern is tuhod ko talaga,” Derek shared on “Showbiz News Ngayon.” The actor bruised his shoulder after a bad fall while playing.

“Habang naglalaro, ang ganda ng pakiramdam niya. Feeling ko, parang dalawa na ‘yung tuhod ko. Pero ‘yung after, ‘yung recovery, ‘yun ang masakit. Yung paa ko masakit. So, siguro kulang pa iyon ng strengthening.”

Prior to that, Derek already had a Frisbee-related injury during another competition.

Derek’s girlfriend, Angelica Panganiban, was not surprised that her boyfriend figured in another minor accident.

“Normal (lang siya). Deadma lang siya. Siguro magugulat siya kung wala akong tama sa katawan.”

But Angelica warned Derek to mind his health.

“Pinagsasabihan niya din ako na, ‘Alam mo, Derek, hindi ka na 18 -years-old na puwede mong itapon-tapon ‘yang katawan mo.’ I actually learned to consider [that] now. Dati kasi, sige bahala na. I know she’s just looking for my wellbeing at ayaw niyang masaktan ako.”

Is he insured?

“It’s the first time I’ve been asked (that question). Siguro ang taas ng isurance ko kung ipapa-ensure ko sarili ko. Have life insurance but hindi ko dapat ipakita ‘tong mga ‘to.”
