The romantic-comedy movie starring John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo titled "It Takes A Man And A Woman" has already breached the P200-million mark eight days after it hit theater!
According to Star Cinema’s PR executive Roxy Liquigan, the film has already earned P201 million as of Saturday.
With the first two movies among the highest grossing local films of all time, "It Takes a Man and a Woman" is expected to replicate the success of "A Very Special Love" and "You Changed My Life."
"A Very Special Love," released in 2008, made P179.3 million, while "You Changed My Life," released in 2009, earned P225.2 million during its theatrical run.
John Lloyd has this to say his thanks to all who watched the movie:
“Thank you very much. Maraming, maraming salamat po talaga. Thank you ‘ASAP’ for giving me the chance na makapagpasalamat sa lahat ng mga nakapanood na. Sa lahat ng mga hindi pa nakakapanood, please po huwag niyo palampasin.”
Synopsis:
In the Cathy Garcia-Molina-directed film, Miggy (Cruz) and Laida (Geronimo) try to co-exist in the same company after breaking up over a character portrayed by actress Isabelle Daza.
Now with more experience and a "fiercer" attitude after spending years in the United States, the returning Laida even challenges Miggy, her former employer, in his business decisions.
The set-up later proves challenging for the former couple to withstand, making it difficult for them to finally come up with a "happy ending."
