Coco Martin took the hot-seat yesterday on the The Buzz for the Tough Ten portion and shed light on different issues concerning him. The Prince of indie Movies denied that he has given up doing indie films since a TV career is a more lucrative venture. “Never akong mawawala sa paggawa ng indie movies kasi ito ‘yung kaligayan ko, eh. Dito ko nae-express‘yung pagiging artist, sa paggawa ng mga pelikula dito,” he said.
The actor also candidly said that he could have done possibly everything an actor could do when it comes to acting, such as doing love scenes and frontal nudity. “Naipakita ko na lahat. Ang pagiging artist kasi parang partng trabaho ko ‘yung katawan ko, so bakit ko bibigyan ng limitasyon?” he justified.
Coco appeared uncomfortable when he was asked if he felt angry towards Kim Chiu and Kris Aquino, who previously was rumored to have laughed at Coco’s “cheap” clothes. The actor answered that he felt really afraid of Kris when they were just starting taping for Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo, but he gradually felt at ease because Kris and Kim are really mabait.
In response, Kris apologized to Coco and explained her side. “Didiretsuhin ko, kaya ako tanong ng tanong sa ‘yo kasi natsitsismis ka and all, tapos I want to prove to myself na ‘yung mga tsismis na ‘yon hindi totoo,” said Kris on The Buzz. “And napatunayan ko talaga kasi nakita ko kung gaano ka-simple kang tao.Nakita ko talaga na humble, hardworking, and nakaapak (ka) talaga sa lupa, so na-inspire talaga ako.” The Queen of All Media also thanked Coco for supporting her brother Sen. Noynoy’s presidential campaign and added that aside from liking him as an actor, she promised Coco that she will be sincere to him for the rest of her life.
Coco is starring in an independent film this June, which tells the story of Sen. Noynoy Aquino’s campaign for the presidency, entitled Noy.
