Erich Gonzalez is 2009's breakthrough star!

The Buzz named Erich Gonzalez as 2009’s breakthrough star, who was catapulted to stardom through the teleserye, Katorse, which started August this year. It is also Erich’s launching project, four years after she was declared as the grand winner of Star Circle Quest Batch 2 in 2005. Erich however, said that she still remains the same person, amidst the success. “Ganun pa rin naman po, siguro mas nag-mature lang ako ng konti,” she said humbly, adding that she is aware now of the showbiz ropes compared to before. “Dati pangarap ko lang talaga ang makita ang sarili sa TV and ngayon sobra pa ang nangyayari.”



With the good things happening to her career now, Erich said that she has no grudge against people who once doubted that she could succeed in portraying her role in Katorse. She said that she was aware that people did not favor her for getting the part but she took their criticisms as a challenge. And with the high ratings the show has gotten, she said that it feels good to prove her detractors wrong. “Hindi ko naman ito nakuha ng overnight and matagal din po naman akong naghintay and I can say na worth the wait angKatorse,” she said. Erich will soon star in another highly anticipated soap opera, Tanging Yaman.
