Although singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid admits that buying lavish things these days is impractical, he indirectly confirmed the rumor that his girlfriend Regine Velasquez gave him a black BMW Series 7.
“Ano ang magagawa mo kung mahal mo, di ba? Siyempre, ibibigay mo talaga ang sa tingin mo magugustuhan ng partner mo, di ba? You know, habang kaya, habang bata pa at kaya," he said on “Showbiz Central” when host Raymond Gutierrez asked him about it on July 4.
A black BMW Series 7 costs at least P3-million. Rumors have it that Regine gave Ogie not just one but two of the luxury brand’s latest model.
It’s been known for awhile that Regine and Ogie give each other pricey gifts, including trips to exotic tourist spots. In one interview, Ogie explained what motivates him to do so: “She is worth it.”
Regine also refused to address the BMW rumor head on.
Instead, she said, "E, kasi minsan naman, masarap lang magbigay ng gift kahit walang okasyon. Kasi medyo guilty ako, hindi ko siya naaalagaan lately. Palagi akong nagte-taping. Pang-kabuhayan showcase! So, yun."
