She may have rekindled her friendship with Sam Milby and Anne Curtis, but TV host-comedienne Toni Gonzaga remains firm on her decision to not work with any of the two as yet.
For Toni, doing so would require more than just the right timing.
"‘Wag muna, ‘wag muna siguro ngayon. Okay na kasi sila. Okay na naman ang lahat, siguro ‘wag muna ngayon. Kung ako lang, ha. Sana, huwag muna ngayon, kasi...sa kanila na lang muna 'yong moment. Ibigay na lang muna natin ang moment nila,” Toni explained in an interview aired on “Showbiz News Ngayon” recently.
The reconciliation between Toni and Anne happened only recently at a taping of the noontime show "Magpasikat Ka." The two hugged during the show, right after Toni finished a song and dance number meant to honor birthday boy -- and Anne's co-host in the show -- Vhong Navarro.
Toni is on happy mode nowadays, thanks to the love her fans and her loved ones shower her. She is particularly thrilled about the birthday party her fans organized for her.
“Yearly, merong ginagawa talagang ganito. Lahat sila nag-a-assemble for my birthday. Thankful talaga ako sa kanila,” she said.
She revealed that her fans also gave her a gift, a portalet.
The idea for the gift came after Toni hinted that she wanted to have a toilet installed inside her van.
“Balak ko kasing ipa-customize ng konti [ang Van] for that. Eh, Nagbigay sila ng portalet...sobra naman akong grateful,” she said.
Toni’s parents also gave her a memorable birthday present.
“Niregaluhan nila ako ng parents ko ng bagong van, birthday gift nila sa akin. Ever since na nagsisimula ako, pangarap ko na talaga ang [magkaroon ng] F150. Ipapa-customize ko na lang ang loob para mas komportable,” she said.
Toni disclosed at the time that she was still excitedly waiting for another gift -- that from his boyfriend Paul Soriano.
“Baka sa birthday ko talaga [ibibigay]. Pinaghahandaan pa siguro.”
