AFTER Kris Aquino admitted she and her two sons have moved out of their house to have some space from husband James Yap, the newest rumor is that she has actually made up her mind to bid him goodbye for good but advisers of her brother Noynoy told her not to do something too drastic. Obviously, such a decision would adversely affect Noynoy's candidacy, whether she likes it or not. She was reportedly told to think things over carefully and wait until after the elections before she makes her decision to separate from James final.
As for James, he says his conscience is clear and he can swear on a stack of Bibles that he's not having an affair with Mayen Austria who's just sharing with him her problem with her boyfriend. "I've never been unfaithful to my wife," he stressed.
He added that even the issue over Dr. Vicki Belo's Hope Centeno was simply not true and was just a fabrication of some quarters who hated Dr. Belo and used Kris to get back at her. Even his colleagues at the Purefoods team vouch for his fidelity and that he tries not to entertain their fans so as not to make her jealous. "Kris just doesn't appreciate her husband's own efforts to keep the marriage intact," says his friends.
The whole issue boils down to the fact that theirs is not a match made in heaven. From the start, many already doubted if the marriage would succeed as studies show that couples whose unions last are usually homogenous in their personal backgrounds and values. Kris and James are poles apart so they really have a lot more to work on to make their marriage succeed. Not only is James much younger, Kris also comes from "alta sosyedad" while he's just a poor promdi from Negros.
James is withdrawn, Kris is so extroverted and thrives on intrigues. Unlike poles are attractive only at the start, but as the relationship goes on, the many differences eventualy wear down the marriage, love dies, and instead of fighting for it, both parties think it's just better to give up. Let's just pray that their marital counselor (they're consulting one) can still do wonders to help patch things up between them.
