Cristine Reyes takes desperate measures in ‘Precious Hearts Romances presents My Cheating Heart’!

Cristine Reyes plays a woman harboring a secret love for her best friend in her new mini-series Precious Hearts Romances presents My Cheating Heart. “Ako dito si Nadine. Bata pa lang sobrang gusto ko na si Jake (Cuenca), o si Mio. Childhood friends kami kaya lang noon medyo pangit pa ako tsaka tomboyish kaya parang kapatid lang ang turing niya sa akin. Pumunta ako ng US. Years after, babalik ako at si Mio ‘yung broken hearted. Tutulungan ko siya maka-recover, pero in the process paplanuhin ko ‘yung pagpikot sa kanya,” she told ABS-CBN.com in an interview during the first taping day.



Cristine further shared that she found it exciting to play the character of Nadine. “Natuwa nga ako e. Sabi ko, ‘Wow! Mamimikot ako!’ Pero ‘yung pikot dito sa story e makikita niyo in a funny way. In real life kasi kapag naisip mo ‘yung pikot e napakasaklap kapag nangyari sa ‘yo. Pero dito sa My Cheating Heart ang daming comedic scenes na umikot dun sa pamimikot ni Nadine kay Mio. Very intelligent ‘yung pagkakagawa sa story nito. Sa mga dialogue sobrang mapapaisip ka about love.”

This is the second time that Cristine will be paired with Jake. The two were introduced in the Stupid Cupid episode of the first PHR offering, Bud Brothers. Cristine said that she is very happy to be working with Jake again, this time around in a much longer story. The sexy actress was last scene in the drama mini-series Your Song presents Babalik Kang Muli. Cristine told ABS-CBN.com that doing romantic comedy enables her to relate with the female audience. “Maraming girls ang makaka-relate kay Nadine. Aminin natin, tayong mga girls na experience na natin ‘yung may gusto tayong guy pero hindi naman tayo like. Karamihan sa atin napaisip na kung ano ‘yung pwede nating gawin para lang mahalin tayo nung lalaking gusto natin. Kapag nanood sila mai-imagine ng mga girls ‘yung sarili nila bilang si Nadine. E dito sa story mag best friend pa sila. Madalas mangyari ‘yung ganun na in love ka sa best friend mo pero hindi ka naman niya like kaya hindi mo masabi.”
