Angelica Panganiban clarifies she is not after Derek Ramsay’s money!

Angelica Panganiban said on The Buzz yesterday that of all the negative issues that hounded her, the accusation that she is just after Derek Ramsay’s money is the most painful. “Mas marami po ‘yung masakit (na intriga). Pagdating po sa pamilya ‘pag sinasabihan ako lalo na ngayon nagka-boyfriend ako, siyempre mas may kaya siya (Derek) kaysa sa ‘kin di ba?” the actress related. “Kahit piso wala akong hiningi sa kanya at ang pinaka-concern ko dun, ayokong isipin ng pamilya niya na ganun ako. Pagmamahal po ‘yung nagpapaandar sa relasyon namin.”



When host Boy Abunda asked Angelica what message she wants to tell her detractors, she answered, “Hindi ko po kayang i-defend ang sarili ko dun, eh. Feeling ko ibang tao ang kayang magprotekta sa akin tungkol do’n.” She justified that for sixteen years, she worked really hard to get where she is now. On the other hand, Angelica said that she is the happiest when people tell her that she is someone with a good heart. “Pinakamasaya ‘pag sinasabi sa akin ng mga tao na mabuti akong tao, na totoo akong tao.”

The actress also explained that unlike her character in the upcoming teleserye Rubi, she is someone who loves with all her heart in real life, and that is how she loves her boyfriend. Angelica also shared that she is not affected with issues linking Derek to Jinkee Pacquiao. She also clarified her previous statement at theRubi press conference that she supposedly challenged Jinkee when she said ‘I-try lang niya,’ in response to the issue that Derek and Jinkee are supposedly more than friends. “Tanong lang ng tanong ang mga tao so parang hindi sila masaya sa mga sagot ko na friends lang talaga sila, so nung sumagot ako ng ganon, baka last interview ko na ‘yon (about the issue),” she said.
