The Eiffel Tower in Paris has been evacuated after an anonymous phone-call threatening an attack at around 7:00 p.m. local time on Saturday.
There were estimated 1,400 people visiting the site when the incident happened. A security perimeter was set up around the famous Eiffel Tower when France's anti terrorism police made a decision to clear and search the area.
The tourist and the staff were told to come down. Police then searched the area with sniffer dogs for possible explosives.
This is not the first time that the tower was evacuated due to threats, the last one was in 2011, where 4,000 people were cleared from it.
