Anne Curtis graces the cover of the June issue of Metro Magazine where she gives a tell-all exclusive interview about how she managed to live life like any other average girl, contrary to her celebrity image. While she once loved going to clubs and partying with rich and famous friends, she confessed that at 25 years old, age seems to be catching up with her and she has become less exuberant about clubbing. Her busy schedule, particularly the early daily call time for Showtime, has also required her to hit the sack much earlier than usual.
Nevertheless, thanks to technology, she has found new ways to have fun even while she’s on the set. During down times in between shoots, she would take out her iPad and read her favorites books. Anne also confessed her addiction to online games like Where’s Wally, FarmVille, and Plants vs Zombies (the last of which she finished in just two days). “‘I’ve downloaded the most addictive games, everything. Some are just really stupid, but fun, applications,” she shared with Metro Magazine.
Sadly, being a celebrity has its downside and Anne experienced this when she had a wardrobe malfunction in the middle of a performance on ASAP XV. Feeling like her world was falling apart when her nip slip photo was published by a tabloid, Anne found strength from the man she admired all her life, her Australian father James Curtis Smith. Her dad, a lawyer, advised her to let the scandal die a natural death, instead of going to court which could only prolong her suffering. Describing her father, Anne said, “I call him my Book of Wisdom. There’s never a question he’d say, ‘I don’t know to.’”
Anne is now back on her feet again, very much focused on work like she has always been. Quark Henares, who directed Anne in the horror film ‘Wag Kang Lilingon, attested to how dedicated the young actress is to her craft. “Sometimes when I was satisfied she’d tell me to push her some more. She’s a brilliant actress, and I’d work with her again in a heartbeat.”
