The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) released earlier today, March 5, its decision over the controversial production number of Anne Curtis two weeks ago in ASAP 18.
The board did not impose any sanctions against the ABS-CBN musical variety show as Anne Curtis herself made a promise that she will no longer wear “provocative” outfits specially on live television.
However, the MTRCB is requiring the staff and stars of “ASAP 18” and other Kapamilya programs to undergo a gender-sensitivity seminar on March 15 to avoid similar incident in the future.
ABS-CBN welcomed the board’s decision by releasing an official statement:
“ABS-CBN will continue to cooperate with the MTRCB and ensure that its programs will be in accordance with the gender sensitivity guidelines of the board. ABS-CBN thanks the board for hearing its side of the issue as it gives its assurance to self-regulate.”
