Hugo Chavez, President of Venezuela, has succumbed to cancer at the age of 58.
Vice President Nicolas Maduro, said that Hugo Chavez died at 4:25 p.m. Tuesday.
He told the Venezuelans:
"We must unite now more than ever, peaceful and respectful."
Maduro said plans for Chavez's state funeral are still to be announced.
